Since early 2000s, Brittany and her family were deeply rooted in helping the foster care system. Brittany had over 40 foster siblings and 13 foster nieces and nephews. Brittany was formerly a licensed foster parent. These influence her to strongly advocate for children in foster care, foster parents, and adoptions.

With adoption cases, she handles all juvenile, stepparent, second parent, foster care/DCS, LGBTQI+, surrogacy, assisted reproductive technology, private, agency, and readoption for international adoptions. In the probate court, Brittany handles adult adoptions. Also, Brittany handles cases involving termination of parental rights for the purpose of adoption.
